Waddup again! Here’s a little about me. I hail from the inner-city of Hampton, Va. As the book blurbs (back covers) say, in the first book, "Blessed in the Struggle: The Boy Inside the Man (a hood memoir of hope and guidance)," I had a tough upbringing fighting, labeled mentally disabled “ADHD,” fighting, police brutality (at 12) etc. (not nearly all mentioned here), but... Finished high school after a stint in foster-care, going through 12 residences and 5 high schools (in those 4 years). Book #1 is essentially a coming of age story that fits the times… Highly motivating!

Followed by book #2 titled, “Blessed in the Struggle: Leaps of Faith (a hood memoir of hope and guidance)” which begins immediately after high school graduation where 19 years old me enter the barbershop and strive to pay actual rent from barbershop money while falling in love and becoming a father. In “Leaps of Faith” after 5 years of barbering and being the best dad/man I could be. I joined the U.S. Navy, experiencing unbelievable twists and turns, much like the memoir "Blessed in the Struggle: The Boy Inside the Man." After serving in the service, I attain a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice. Followed by 2 years of intense service in inner-city neighborhoods as a qualified mental health professional (and mentor) to youth and adult males.
